Set against the breezy backdrop of Palm Beach, the film follows three interlinked couples whose weddings, divorces and remarriages create a tangled web of relationships, including seven children and step‑children. A divorce judge’s gavel sounds, and a surprisingly youthful Frederic March appears as the determined figure who attempts to untangle the chaos and restore order.
