He can't stop WWII, but he refuses to let it halt Christmas. Toy inventor Alfred “A.C.” Gilbert, creator of the Erector Set, is summoned to the White House, where officials order his factory converted into a weapons plant and later ask him to campaign against holiday toy giving in favor of war bonds. With a young son yearning for Christmas, Gilbert must balance patriotism with preserving the holiday spirit.
