Trapped in an unwanted marriage and reduced to menial, humiliating labor under the control of his father‑in‑law, Zé Araújo rebels against his oppressive fate. He adopts the persona of the legendary Ojuara, an unorthodox anti‑hero who embraces wild indulgence and debauchery, turning his misery into a chaotic legend.
