A grieving Saudi teenager, Aljadel, rebels against a school choir's memorial chant for her deceased best friend. The demanding Main Teacher, seeking control, prohibits the chant and instead orders students to re-enact the traditional shrouding of the dead. Witnessing this ceremony, Aljadel's frustration escalates, prompting her to take action and inspiring the other girls to join her in defiance.
