Mineowner Stephen Ghent falls for Ruth Jordan, an arrogant Eastern socialite unaware she is the daughter of his late partner. While vacationing in Arizona and Mexico with her fiancé Edgar, Ruth becomes entangled with Manuella, a Spanish half‑breed who loves Ghent. Ghent kidnaps Ruth, takes her into the wilderness, where she discovers true love for him and abandons Edgar.
