The Earth Dies Screaming

Human bodies are scattered across an English village, appearing to be dead following a mysterious event. A small group of survivors assembles at the local hotel bar, trying to comprehend the devastation caused by what seems to be a sudden gas attack that wiped out most of Earth's population. Space suits appear in the streets, signifying an alien threat.

Figures in space suits tour the streets, initially perceived as rescue figures, but they turn hostile upon contact, killing Vi Courtland with their touch. These bulletproof killers begin stalking the area, unleashing terror among the survivors. The survivors realize they are facing a hostile alien invasion.

Lorna Brenard, who is heavily pregnant, and her husband Mel arrive by car, mentioning they broke into a fallout shelter the night before to survive. They join the group as they attempt to find safety amid the chaos unfolding in the village.

The survivors head to a local Territorial Army drill hall to look for weapons and defend themselves against the invading aliens. They arm themselves and prepare for the fight to survive against the relentless alien and zombie threats.

Vi Courtland reanimates as a zombie with white eyes after being killed by the aliens. Quinn Taggart, acting to protect the group, shoots and kills her, understanding she is no longer human. This marks the spread of the infection within the survivor group.

Quinn knocks out Jeff and departs north with Peggy Hatton in a sports car. Peggy tries to escape on her own, asking for a coat, then hides in a house when pursued, hiding in a wardrobe. Jeff rescues her after she escapes, and they reunite in the chaos.

Jeff and Peggy reunite with the group at the drill hall where Lorna is about to give birth. Quinn, now a zombie accompanied by robots, returns to threaten the survivors. Jeff encounters a robot that explodes after being hit, revealing the presence of hostile alien technology.

Jeff and Mel Brenard use a shortwave radio to triangulate the alien transmission sources, aiming to destroy the control signal that animates the robots and aliens. This strategic move becomes crucial in their fight for survival.

As the survivors approach the transmitter tower, robots and alien entities appear, including a returning zombie Quinn. The destruction of the transmitter tower causes all the robots and alien devices to collapse, ending their immediate threat.

Otis shoots and kills Quinn, who had become a zombie, ensuring the safety of Lorna, Peggy, and the newborn baby. The survivors' efforts have successfully halted the alien control over the robot and zombie threat.

With their immediate danger eliminated, the survivors commandeer a Pan Am Boeing 707. They take to the skies in a desperate attempt to find other survivors and escape the alien invasion, heading south in search of safety.
