Former tennis prodigy Dusty Boyd (Jake Johnson) coaches unruly kids at his father Chuck’s (Ed Harris) country club. When Chuck opposes the club’s pickleball craze, Dusty aggravates a tennis injury and, urged by partner Candace (Mary Steenburgen), tries the game. He enjoys it, forcing him to face past failures, rival Andy Roddick, and a fight for the club’s future and his father’s love.
