Soviet spy Ladeynikov discovers that former Nazi doctor Dr. Hass is finalizing a deadly chemical gas called RH, a project he began during World War II by experimenting on POWs, at a pharmaceutical plant in a small resort town. Lacking Hass’s identity, Soviet intelligence enlists escaped actor Ivan Savushkin, who survived Hass’s earlier tests, to locate the scientist and prevent the weapon’s completion.
