A handsome, mysterious stranger named Abelardo (Darío Grandinetti) arrives in Villaserena and installs loudspeakers that fill the square with music. He sells airtime, prompting locals to broadcast love dedications and, more often, public insults. As Abelardo becomes entangled with Celeste, a young woman chained in her father’s house, and José, a local youth, the town’s hidden tensions surface.
