Set in the aftermath of the Qing Dynasty’s brutal suppression of the Shaolin order, most monks are dead or outlawed, with only a handful surviving in secret among ordinary villagers. An elderly monk forbids his daughter from learning martial arts, but she secretly studies kung fu by watching the remaining monks practice in a nearby temple, determined to revive the lost art.
