The Cape Canaveral Monsters

Two mysterious white circles glide across a black screen as a woman's voice states they must possess human bodies to carry out their mission. This eerie setup foreshadows an alien incursion into human hosts.

A man and a woman leave a beach near Cape Canaveral, Florida. The circles descend, causing a fatal crash, and the hosts are taken over by the aliens.

Nadja retrieves Hauron's severed arm and explains she will sew it back on at their laboratory in the artificial cave that serves as their headquarters. The hosts remain under alien control as the base operation is established.

Hauron reconnoiters Cape Canaveral at night, but MP guard dogs tear off his reattached arm. He still wields a disruptor ray to disable rockets as soon as they launch.

Rocket scientists at the launch site wonder why their rockets keep exploding, unaware that extraterrestrials are sabotaging them. The failures frustrate the space program and fuel suspicion.

Tom Wright and Sally Markham, both employed at the launch site, go on a double date with friends Bob and Shirley. Tom notes static on a transistor radio, suggesting an illegal transmitter may be nearby.

The group returns to search for the illegal transmitter but cannot locate it at first. They keep looking, hoping to uncover the source of the sabotage.

Bob dies during capture as Shirley is abducted; Nadja removes Bob's arm and grafts it onto Hauron. She also replaces Hauron's scarred chin with Bob's, claiming Bob had a handsome chin.

Shirley and Bob are transmitted to the aliens' planet, despite Bob's death and warnings about sending dead or damaged specimens. The abductors continue to expand their host network.

Tom and Sally are captured and held by an electronic device. Tom frees himself by waving his wristwatch's radium dial at the device and then goes to summon help, leaving Sally behind.

Sheriff's deputies, Army personnel and rocket scientists arrive to demand the aliens surrender. Nadja and Hauron incapacitate them and revert to circle form to transmit themselves home.

Tom and Sally's awakeness prompts Sally's father, the head rocket scientist, to devise a plan to block the extraterrestrials' transmission. The humans escape the cave just as a powerful explosion destroys it.

Sally and the chief deputy drive away in a patrol car, but tires screech and a crash follows, leaving their fate unresolved in a shocking final moment.
