When two people love, they’re a couple; when four love, they become the Buttercup Chain. Born to twin sisters on the same day, France and Margaret grow up in London as close as siblings rather than cousins. Their bond pauses when Margaret studies abroad, but upon returning as a young woman she resumes her intimate connection with France.
