The Boogeyman

Will Harper and his daughters, Sadie and Sawyer, grapple with the emotional aftermath of their mother’s tragic car accident. Their cozy home, once filled with laughter, now echoes with grief as they work to heal from their deep-seated trauma.

To aid in their healing, Will employs Dr. Weller, a lady psychiatrist, to help his daughters cope with their trauma. Despite her efforts, Will remains emotionally distant and struggles to engage with the therapy sessions.

A disheveled man named Lester Billings arrives at Will's office seeking help, presenting a chilling tale about a closet monster that allegedly killed his three children. His erratic behavior and haunting drawings plant seeds of concern in Will’s mind.

Tragedy strikes when Lester is discovered hanging lifelessly in a closet, sending shockwaves through Will's family. This shocking event introduces the sinister presence of the Boogeyman, setting their lives on a terrifying trajectory.

Sawyer becomes the first to witness the dark figure of the Boogeyman lurking around their home at night. Paranoia begins to grip the family as they realize they are not alone in their grief.

Sadie attempts to assist Sawyer with a loose tooth by tying it to a door, only for the door to ominously swing open by itself. This unsettling event heightens the tension and fear in their already vulnerable household.

An innocent slumber party takes a horrifying turn when Sadie, experimenting with marijuana, vomits up the string tied to Sawyer's tooth. The gruesome surprise shakes her friends and adds to the family's growing fear.

Curiosity leads Sadie to explore the closet where Lester met his end. Trapped inside, she confronts the terrifying half-human, half-insect Boogeyman, confirming their fears about the entity's existence.

Determined to uncover the truth, Sadie, accompanied by Bethany, visits Lester’s dilapidated home. There, they meet Rita, Lester's widow, who armed with desperation, claims to know the vulnerabilities of the creature tormenting them.

The haunting escalates as Sawyer is hospitalized following a violent encounter with the Boogeyman. The terrifying reality dawns on Will's family that they are facing a genuine and grave threat beyond mere grief.

Sadie returns to Rita, where they develop a perilous plan to trap the Boogeyman. Their courageous attempt comes with the understanding that confronting this entity could have dire consequences.

In a moment of sacrifice, Rita attempts to ensnare the Boogeyman but tragically meets her end in the process. Her demise signifies a turning point, leaving Sadie to confront the darkness with newfound resolve.

With a flicker of faith, Will discovers Sawyer surrounded by Christmas lights as a defense against the Boogeyman. Sadie believes their mother is guiding them, empowering her to lead the charge against the entity.

Armed with makeshift weapons, including a flamethrower, Sadie and Sawyer confront the monstrous Boogeyman in the basement. After a fierce struggle, they manage to immolate the creature, reclaiming their peace.
