The executive producers of High School Musical bring a lively musical comedy to the American shopping mall, the teenage hang‑out spot. Optimistic singer‑songwriter Ally (Nina Dobrev) works at her mother’s busy music shop, where she meets Joey (Rob Mayes), a mall janitor dreaming of rock‑star fame, and they bond over her songs. Their growing partnership is threatened by Madison (Autumn Reeser), the spoiled daughter of the mall owner, whose selfish ambitions jeopardize both Ally’s musical aspirations and her mother’s popular store.
