Twelve-year-old Marco is glued to his iPad, rarely venturing outdoors. Following the loss of his grandmother and his grandfather's move-in, his routine is disrupted, and he's encouraged to spend time outside. His grandfather introduces him to bocce ball and a close-knit group of older Italian men. Through sport and camaraderie, Marco discovers the joy of human connection and organizes a team of neighborhood kids to challenge his grandfather and his friends in a friendly competition.
