Silas Rand and Charles Leland first recorded the Glooscap legend before the turn of the century. This vivid animated retelling, perhaps the most beautiful version yet, portrays the Mi’kmaq people in the cold white dawn of their world, where the great spirit Glooscap confronts the giant Winter to bring summer to the North.
