Stregati (1986) Spoiler-Free Summary – What It's About

In the restless, rain‑slick streets of Genoa, a lone loft near the port becomes the heart of a nocturnal ritual. Lorenzo commands Radio Strega’s night show, delivering invented court sentences to the city’s insomniacs with a voice that blends mischief and philosophy. His on‑air creed celebrates the rejection of monotony, urging listeners to flirt with chaos and find joy in the small, unplanned moments that stitch the night together.

The DJ’s world is populated by a tight‑knit crew who share his appetite for midnight escapades. Remo Quaranta, a taxi driver with an easy grin, and Alex, a pianist whose melodies drift through the alleys, accompany him on impromptu wanderings. Their camaraderie extends to Novello, Lorenzo’s father, who runs a cinema that screens explicit films, adding a layer of irreverent variety to their evenings. Together they turn ordinary avenues into stages for jokes, daring pranks, and fleeting adventures that pulse with a playful, rebellious spirit.

One rainy night the city introduces a newcomer: Anna, a striking woman in town to purchase a wedding dress before returning to Verona. Their paths intersect amid the neon glow, and an electric spark ignites between them, hinting at a tension that balances attraction with an inexplicable push‑pull. Their conversations ripple with the same carefree audacity that defines Lorenzo’s broadcasts, suggesting that the night may hold more than fleeting companionship.

As the nocturnal rhythm of Genoa continues, the characters navigate a landscape where loyalty, wit, and a love of disorder shape every encounter. In this world, the possibility of deeper connections lingers just beyond the static of the airwaves, inviting the audience to wonder how far the night’s daring can carry them.
