Inspector Bergmann and his new partner, Anni Sulmtaler, investigate a disturbing murder that occurs on Halloween night. During a séance with the medium Vera, a woman is fatally shot through a window, and the murder weapon appears to be the victim’s husband’s hunting rifle. However, he claims to be innocent.
