Outperformed by the girls’ soft‑tennis club, the boys’ team faces disbandment. Coach Toma Shinjou can’t recruit anyone until transfer student Maki Katsuragi impresses him by catching a stray cat. Toma pays Maki to join, and his skill instantly outshines the others, igniting conflict and forcing the boys to recommit to the sport and cope with middle‑school pressures.
