A shy anthropologist, recently heartbroken, relocates to Ferentari, a marginalized neighborhood in Bucharest, to study manele music, a popular genre within the Roma community. However, their relationship becomes complicated as Adi navigates Alberto’s dangerous and fragile world, discovering the dark underbelly of the music scene and the exploitation it enables.
