Müller’s Sleepy Haven channels Kenneth Anger’s Fireworks, turning erotic day‑dreams into a visual love‑act that blends his own footage with found material. Nude sailors flash in solarized, tattoo‑like emulsion, their bodies illuminated with a fervent aura. As the film progresses, the visual metaphors shift toward expressions of love, while also echoing Jean Genet’s Un chant d’Amour.
