In 1979 a delivery truck bound for the San Diego Zoo crashes in a storm, breaking a cage and releasing a venomous tropical rattlesnake that kills the driver and escapes into the forest. By 1999, the escaped snake has bred into thousands of hybrids that swarm the growing town of San Vicente, turning the community’s expansion into a deadly nightmare.
