Aduka and Teruna are sworn brothers tasked with enforcing Islamic law in the village of Semerah Padi. The headmaster’s daughter Dara secretly loves Aduka, but her father arranges her marriage to Teruna, so they hide their feelings. When pirates attack, Teruna is sent to serve the Sultan. While he is away, the bandit Borek kidnaps Dara; Aduka defeats Borek, rescues her, and they give in to their love. Teruna returns victorious, discovers the affair, and a dramatic confrontation ensues over the fate of Dara and Aduka.
