With the ruse exposed, the Highland Games proceed the next day with a new understanding among the townsfolk. Locksley, now informed by the team’s findings and Velma’s careful deduction, begins to reassess the evidence before him, inviting Pembrooke and Chillman to assist in a more controlled, ethical investigation rather than a sensational chase.
