After a weekend of dancing and camping on a nearby recreation island, a young factory worker chooses to remain for an extra day. As he walks the now‑quiet island he meets a striking woman sunbathing alone on the beach. A hot romance sparks between the working‑class man and the refined, married lady, lasting through the luminous nights of the summer week until her much older husband returns the following weekend.
