In spring 2004, as Massachusetts moves to legalize same‑sex marriage, the documentary follows several local couples and their families through the months before and after the historic decision, culminating in their weddings. It also features interviews with opponents who try—and fail—to halt the movement. The film premiered at the Independent Film Festival of Boston in April 2005, a month before the ruling’s first anniversary.
