At 24, virtuoso pianist Rémi Bonnet quits classical studies to pursue his passion for salsa. He moves to Paris, the European salsa hub, only to find the scene rejects a white newcomer. Guided by Cuban friend Felipe, Rémi adopts a new persona and is hired by aging composer Barreto to teach dance.
