Based on William Yang’s one‑man stage show, the film weaves two parallel narratives using slide photography, oral history and stylised reenactments. One follows Yang’s journey into North Queensland’s sugar‑cane fields to investigate his uncle Fang Yuen’s murder; the other presents moving portraits of friends and lovers lost to AIDS. Directed by Tony Ayres, narrated by Yang, with cinematography by Tristan Milani.
