Following a divorce triggered by a reckless affair, a charming man named Rudolf is forced to relocate from the city to a rural hotel co-owned by his dissolute brother, Arnošt. Now separated from his former comforts, Rudolf struggles to maintain his morale while navigating the challenges of a new life in the countryside. He's torn between his desire for a peaceful, committed relationship and the constant temptations presented by his brother's womanizing ways, all while contending with a rival hotel owner and an unexpected declaration of war.
