Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

At the end of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Alice successfully releases the antivirus into the atmosphere, which begins the process of wiping out the T-virus and all the monsters created by it. Throughout the climax, it’s revealed that Alice is actually a clone of Alicia, the young girl whose DNA was used to develop the T-virus. Alice’s amnesia was a result of her not having a prior life before the events of the series, and her mind was essentially wiped to make her a perfect soldier. The Red Queen’s likeness also resembles a young Alicia, further tying her origins to her childhood.

As the story unfolds, Alice and Alicia’s real identity begins to emerge, and Alicia’s younger self helps Alice and Claire Redfield fight against the villains—Wesker and Dr. Isaacs—who had planned to wipe out humanity and rebuild on the ashes. It turns out that Isaacs is killed by his own clone, highlighting the tragic irony of his plans. With the virus disabled and The Hive destroyed, Alice’s mission is nearing its end, but she chooses to keep fighting in hopes of eradicating the remaining monsters and saving what’s left of humanity. The film concludes with Alice uploading Alicia’s memories into her, empowering her with a sense of identity and purpose, and she vows to continue her fight until the threat of the T-virus is finally eliminated.
