The film follows a tight‑knit gang of youths—Mezz, Aziz, Laurent, Nordine, Poisson and others—growing up in the multicultural Parisian suburb of Garges‑les‑Gonesse. Surrounded by high unemployment, daily drug use and recurring violence, they see few prospects for a better future, and the chance to escape their bleak surroundings feels virtually nonexistent.
