Max Noah Levi, a city-dwelling rabbit, receives a letter from the Rabbit School inviting him to train as a mega-rabbit—the protectors who ensure the safe delivery of Easter eggs. He clashes with Leo Sebastian Fitzner, the fiery leader of the Shockvawe Rabbits, after a livestream mishap that Leo blames on a little bunny girl. In a reckless move, Max borrows Leo’s motorcycle and rides out of the city, earning Leo’s wrath and a vow to seek revenge on his online channel.
In the forest, Max reunites with Emmy Elise Eikermann, his friend from Bunny School, and crosses paths with Ruth Jule Böwe and her sons Ferdinand, Bruno Monty Arnold, and Lorenz Jannik Endemann. Ruth and her brood scheme to steal Easter eggs and claim the Bunny title for themselves. Max and Emmy narrowly escape and press on toward Bunny School.
At Bunny School, Max and Emmy arrive and meet Gerda the hen, who oversees the hens on Chicken Mountain, where eggs destined to become Easter eggs are laid and delivered to the rabbits via a specialized egg launcher. Other mega-rabbit hopefuls include Emmy, Anton, and Luise Johanna Klebs. The story follows the growing sense of competition and the pressure to prove themselves worthy of the legendary power.
Leo soon arrives in the forest and falls into a trap set by the foxes. He reveals that he was expelled from Bunny School and promises the foxes a path to become “Easter foxes.” Ruth’s group forms an uneasy alliance with Leo, though Ferdinand remains skeptical of him. Meanwhile, the Golden Egg begins to darken, a centuries-old omen signaling an attack on Easter. Without the egg’s magic, the rabbits lose their special powers, and Max’s training continues to falter. Anton and Emmy accuse him of selfishness, while Leo, now leading the foxes, infiltrates Chicken Mountain to steal eggs. Emmy and Max catch them in the act and, with Madame Hermine’s help, drive them off. They uncover an ancient mural describing a mega-power amplifier that grants strength through unshakable trust. But Chicken Mountain collapses, damaging the egg launcher, and the delay in egg delivery jeopardizes Easter itself.
Ferdinand overhears Leo telling his girlfriend Sandy Liza Simmerlein that he plans to steal and destroy the eggs live on Easter, with the foxes merely serving as pawns. Despite his family’s skepticism, Ferdinand witnesses Leo’s true nature and stays, showing that he genuinely cares about Easter. Max confesses to Madame Hermine that he took Leo’s motorcycle, thinking it explained Leo’s target. Hermione reassures him that Leon has always been a villain. The next day, Ferdinand and Max join forces to repair the egg launcher using Ferdinand’s engineering know-how.
Desperate to prove himself, Ferdinand sneaks out of Bunny School to disable traps that he and his family had set for the rabbits. His actions unintentionally give Leo and the foxes a clearer path to Chicken Mountain. The rabbits thwart the attempt, but Emmy is captured. Leo demands the eggs by the next day, or Emmy will be harmed. Max notices part of a trap on Ferdinand and accuses him of betrayal. Hurt, Ferdinand leaves Bunny School, heartbroken by the lack of trust. The two boys reconcile the next morning, and they work together to rescue Emmy and return to Bunny School.
Their relief is short-lived, however, as Leo and the foxes arrive on a drone built by Sandy. Leo betrays the foxes, seizes all the eggs, and threatens to drop them to shatter Easter. Max and Ferdinand, aided by Emmi, intercept the eggs and activate the mega-power amplifier, reclaiming the eggs and restoring the Golden Egg’s magic. Max is officially declared a mega-rabbit. Leo is banished from Bunny School grounds, and Ferdinand becomes the first Easter fox, much to Ruth’s delight. With their powers restored, Max, Emmy, and Ferdinand deliver Easter eggs to the city, restoring hope and marking a new balance among the rival factions.
