Lilian Harvey portrays Eva, a young woman recuperating at a health spa who spends her evenings at the town’s vaudeville theatre, entranced by the heavily made‑up clown called Quick. Quick falls for her and courts her while masquerading as the theatre’s manager, shedding his makeup. Eva is shocked and angry when she learns the manager and the clown are one and the same.
