Unemployed Peter returns to elementary school but continues failing. His grandmother bets on his report‑card in a football‑pool, wins enough to refurbish their tavern, angering his nephew who sabotages the new restaurant’s restrooms. After teachers reject him, neighbour Camazzo, head of the navy third‑class, gives him a sealed conscription notice.
