Mack Sennett’s first 1924 bathing‑girl comedy features the celebrated Bathing Beauties in a cascade of sketches centered on a shoe clerk, his wife, and his flirtatious escapades. The clerk slips away with a customer, only to be caught by both wives at the beach, where they later attend a beauty and fashion contest. The wife enters masked, and Monday at the shop life seems normal until the contest winner arrives to claim her prize—a complete new wardrobe.
