Savagely they fought against blood‑red fury. Raised from childhood by a Pawnee chief, the white boy known as Pale Arrow becomes Paul Fletcher when he is sent to live among whites and works as a wagon‑train scout. After the chief’s death, the new leader Crazy Fox abandons the chief’s peace efforts and rallies the Pawnees to attack the very wagon train Fletcher guides.
