Seventeen‑year‑old Saki lives in a dilapidated shack with her mother, who ekes out a living hauling a street‑food cart from dawn until night. Having dropped out of school, Saki spends her days helping sell noodles and, when not working, engages in a volatile sexual relationship with her boyfriend Sotoo while also entertaining a truck driver, Ataru. Convinced that her promiscuity is inherited, she resolves to break away from both men in hopes of changing her circumstances.
