This documentary explores a significant moment in film history and the gay rights movement, revisiting the groundbreaking gay films of Pat Rocco from the 1960s. Rocco created the first openly exhibited gay films in the late 1960s, preceding the rise of hardcore pornography and contrasting with the darker productions emerging from New York. His films showcased tanned men on sailboats and beaches, celebrating their identities and the male form. The filmmakers interviewed Rocco shortly before his death, preserving a rare and important chapter in independent film history.
