A bike loan EMI collector corners Gokul, Glory, and Anbu on a highway, forcing them to choose a hurried escape over comfort. To escape the collector, Gokul drives 100 km further to his parents' place, hoping for help. He asks his father to sell their ancestral land to ease the EMI burden, but the father remains silent and unresponsive. The trip underscores the family’s financial strain and fragile communication.

At the Coimbatore expo, Glory unexpectedly reunites with her sister, who hasn’t spoken to her in 10 years because of an inter-religion marriage. The tense moment pushes Glory to unwind by joining a flash mob dance with the crowd. The scene reveals underlying family tensions and the cost of compromise.

Anbu slips away from his grandparents’ house on his waveboard, unwilling to spend the night as planned. Glory’s phone call prompts a quick return to the road, but the reasons behind the departure remain unspoken. The moment shows Anbu’s desire for autonomy and the warmth he craves from his parents.

Sheltering in a ruined stone pavilion, Gokul and Glory hide the truth about their whereabouts to avoid worrying each other about expenses. The lie underscores their shared anxiety and fragile trust in a crisis. The rain becomes a backdrop for their unspoken burdens.

At night, Anbu sneaks to a nearby hill and, at dawn, convinces Gokul to help him slide down despite knee pain. The moment captures a rare instance of bonding and the simple joys of childhood curiosity. It sets the tone for their evolving relationship on the road.

The next morning they visit a pond where Gokul reunites with his childhood sweetheart Vanitha. Anbu befriends Vanitha’s son Kumar and gives him his waveboard, while Gokul notices Vanitha’s husband Gunasekhar thriving in a small eatery. Gokul also fulfills a school promise by fetching a sunflower, and Vanitha senses his burdens and offers help.

Anbu receives a call from his school crush Jenna inviting him to her lavish farmhouse in Karambur. Gokul discovers Anbu’s expensive slippers are missing and searches the nearby hills. Anbu opens up about wishing his parents would always be with him, and Gokul consoles him before they continue their journey.

At a sunflower farm, Anbu plucks a flower for Jenna and watches a flock of ducks, receiving a duck egg as a playful gift. The moment adds a sense of lighthearted discovery to their travels. It highlights Anbu’s childlike wonder amid the struggles they face.

In a private screening at Jenna’s farmhouse, Anbu is irritated when Jenna’s father lies about a body massager being a spaceship. Later, a dance battle between Jenna’s father and Gokul reveals shared foibles and old-school hero mythos, leaving Anbu moved and tearful by the parallels to his own father.

Glory’s cash box goes missing at the expo, and she suspects her employee Myna. Myna returns the box and confesses she considered stealing money for her lover’s medical expenses but couldn’t go through with it. Moved by her honesty, Glory entrusts Myna with her earnings, then Glory boards a bus to Chennai, only to be asked to get off at Tindivanam by Gokul.

The next morning, Anbu asks Gokul to promise quitting smoking. Gokul seems to agree but secretly smokes away from Anbu, who notices and runs off in anger. Anbu climbs a big tree to punish him, but Gokul fetches a ladder to rescue him, momentarily bridging their rift before Anbu runs off again with the ladder.

After the ladder rescue, Anbu joins kids playing football while Glory arrives and Gokul remains stuck in the tree. Soon Anbu jumps into a pond, with Glory following despite not knowing how to swim; Anbu escapes again and boards a tractor. Gokul collapses from dehydration as Glory struggles to help, unaware that his water bottle lies forgotten in his bag.

The tractor reappears and Anbu is dropped off on a hill, where he musters the courage to come down and embrace living close to nature. He even uses the outdoors as a toilet and urges his parents to find a home where they can coexist with the land. Gokul vows to quit smoking, Glory discards her puff inhaler, and the family contemplates moving to a village to pursue happiness with nature as a family value, ending with a voiceover about parenting.
