An aging Paris hustler, Vassili lashes out when a client mocks his age and strangles him in a fit of rage. The act reveals the violence simmering beneath his routine life. The murder happens within the Paris setting, foreshadowing the crimes to come.

That same night, Vassili discovers an unconscious teenager in the Bois de Boulogne, beaten and robbed. He brings the boy to his apartment and christens him Angelo, inspired by the angelic appearance and tattoo on his abdomen. This encounter marks the start of their complicated bond.

Vassili and Angelo begin a relationship that starts as purely sexual but soon grows into romance. They decide to hustle together, forming a dangerous partnership. The dynamic sets the stage for later violent acts.

A client wants Angelo for himself and sends Vassili home. Instead, Vassili hides in the client's apartment and kills him after Angelo has left. The act cements their bond in violence and marks their first joint murder.

Another murder occurs in Angelo's presence, and he remains complicit rather than distressed. The ease with which he accepts killing shows how deeply their relationship has corrupted their moral boundaries. This event solidifies their shared path of violence.

To escape the crimes, Vassili and Angelo leave Paris and travel to Lyon, arriving at Anna's apartment. The move signals a shift from the city’s chaos to a quieter, family-like setting. They arrive seeking shelter and new connections.

In Lyon, a young boy named Vassili, Anna's son, is introduced into the story. He fears his mother's past and the two newcomers, but is also fascinated by their relationship. He learns that Vassili and Angelo may become a makeshift family to him.

Anna, Angelo, and the two Vassilis share a threesome and grow more intimate. The family-like dynamic intensifies, with the older Vassili taking on a fatherly role for the boy. The scene cements a fragile, unconventional family unit.

The group travels to Victor's luxurious house in the mountains, where Victor—Vassili's first client—acts as a benefactor by paying the rent. Victor's young Moroccan lover Kamel grows suspicious of the trio's motives. He threatens to leave, setting up a clash of loyalties.

Victor persuades Kamel to stay, but insists that he and Kamel will need time apart from the guests. Vassili privately complains that Victor is just another exploiter. The atmosphere becomes tense as hidden motives fester.

Moved by anger and protectiveness toward Angelo, Vassili murders Victor and Kamel with Angelo's help. Young Vassili witnesses Victor's murder and promises not to tell anyone. The violence completes the trio's murderous dynamic.

Anna arrives a few days later, and she, Vassili, and Angelo share another threesome that night. The unusual family grows closer as the three adults create a fragile bond with the boy present. The moment deepens the sense of a dysfunctional family unit.

Young Vassili hears moaning and sees his mother, Anna, unconscious between the two men, and believes they have killed her. He runs to the police and tells them what he saw. Early next morning, Vassili and Angelo are arrested.
