Filmmaker Jan Nemec and his crew risked their lives to capture the only filmed record of the 1968 Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. Initially a study of the country's liberalization, the documentary follows the Russian forces’ advance, with gripping footage that was aired on television as the first public report. It also includes never‑before‑seen scenes filmed before the invasion, showing the crushing of Prague’s anti‑Communist movement.
