Dario, a disgruntled ex‑cop, was discharged two years ago after obeying Superintendent Villa’s order to escort syndicate boss Johnny Estrella to a safe house instead of the police station. Villa was acting on Johnny’s orders, and the crook escaped. Dario now works informal security at a bar he once frequented. Marian, a novice on a month‑long convent break, discovers her sister Mabel has been abducted by Johnny and his brother Sonny, leaders of an illegal drug and human‑trafficking syndicate on Alupihan Island, and turns to Dario for help.
