The ninja samurai Onimanji is awakened from a centuries-long imprisonment within a cursed urn. Resurrected in the modern era by the Kika Company, a group of assassins-for-hire, he reluctantly joins forces with Shigeru, a clumsy colleague. Together, they carry out dangerous missions while facing competition from the rival Nutmeg company, navigating a world vastly different from the one he left behind.
