Mona Bergström, a Eurovision fan in her thirties, lives with a lazy husband and four children named after Swedish pop stars. Her brother “Candy Darling” adds flair. Mona cares for David, a wheelchair‑bound teen with a severe movement disorder abandoned by his parents. David writes a song hoping the Cardigans will play it, so his parents might hear and return.
