Once an Eagle is a 1976 nine‑hour TV miniseries, directed by Richard Michaels and E.W. Swackhamer, written by Peter S. Fischer and based on Anton Myrer’s 1968 novel. The first and last episodes run two hours, the five in between run one hour each. It follows the thirty‑year careers of two Army officers from World I’s outbreak to the post‑World II era.
