Student nurses and doctors travel to a remote medical station near Catamaco, Mexico, when their plane suffers an engine failure and crashes deep in the rainforest. Stranded in hostile jungle terrain, they must contend with injuries, limited supplies and the elements to rescue the surviving passengers, nurses and physicians, in a fight for survival.
