This documentary explores the complicated history of a Mississippi town grappling with racial tensions four decades after the murders of civil rights activists. Through the experiences of victims’ families, interviews with town residents, and a revealing conversation with Edgar Ray Killen, believed to be the orchestrator of the crimes, the film examines the themes of accountability and the possibility of redemption within a community confronting its painful past.
