Aidai, the baksy—or witch doctor—dwells in the mountains, using mysterious rites to heal the sick and grant children to barren couples. When capitalist forces invade, land—the community’s most sacred inheritance—is seized, and a mob drives her away to build a filling station. This sparks a fierce clash between her supernatural goodwill and the encroaching earthly greed.
