His habit of criticizing colleagues erodes his reputation; leading roles disappear and he is forced to play villains and rapists, eventually losing his station job. Depressed, he unexpectedly becomes an extras agent, and mentoring a passionate aspiring actress named Fei rekindles his love for the craft and restores his zest for life.
