Necross, a disgraced Guardian of the Sun, waits in the shadows for an opportunity to bring darkness back to the world. Once defeated by the brave warrior Xolal, he plots revenge against the guardians protecting their realm.

Apprentice Guardians Sohone and Leeyoon attend their induction ceremony, preparing to become the new Guardians of the Sun and Moon. In a surprising twist, the Sun embraces Sohone while the Moon unexpectedly chooses the inexperienced Mune.

Following the ceremony, Xolal and Yule share vital knowledge about their roles with Sohone and Mune. Their transitions mark a significant change as Xolal transforms into a statue, signifying the end of an era.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Mox informs Necross of Xolal's retirement, allowing Necross to execute his sinister plan to seize the Sun. This escalates his determination to engulf the world in darkness once more.

That night, Necross unleashes the Pale Snakes to taint Leeyoon's spirit and create discord among the apprentice Guardians. This attack is crucial in sowing distrust between Sohone and Mune.

Mune struggles to master the Temple of the Moon, facing great trials as Necross seeks to hijack the Sun with his allies. His banishment from the community further complicates his journey.

Determined to reclaim the stolen Sun, Mune teams up with Sohone and a wax girl named Glim. Their journey leads them to the Great Blue Hole, where they meet Phospho, a former Guardian who provides guidance.

As Leeyoon attempts to fulfill his duties at the Temple of the Moon, chaos ensues, leading to the temple's collapse into the Underworld. Here, Mune, Sohone, and Glim must face new challenges to stabilize their realm.

Mune discovers his ability to soothe the Temple of the Moon, igniting hope in Phospho. At the same time, Leeyoon recognizes Mune's true potential, leading to a reconciliation between them.

Mune and Glim venture into the Moon Quarry to forge a new Moon, as revealed by Yule before his death. Their bond strengthens through trials, while Leeyoon acknowledges Mune's rightful place as the Guardian.

Upon completing their mission, Mune and Glim reunite with Sohone in the World of Darkness. Together, they confront the Pale Snakes that threaten to corrupt Sohone’s spirit.

In a moment of heroism, Phospho intervenes to save Sohone from the Pale Snakes, sacrificing himself in the process. His brave act inspires Mune, Sohone, and Glim to unite against Necross.

In a climactic showdown, the Sun and Moon combine their powers to defeat Necross, putting him into a peaceful slumber. Mune, empowered by his liquid Dream powers, restores balance, turning Necross into a statue and allowing the Underworld to flourish.
